Hello Coaches:

I hope your school year is off to a good start. We are once again hosting our association’s pre season scrimmage.

As of this date we are planning to host the pre season scrimmage at River Bluff High School on Saturday, November 23, 2024.

This event will not count as one of your 16 dates.

We will be running 5 dual mats again this year and plan to have a total of 20 teams participating. If you are receiving this email your team participated in the event in 2022 and are invited back this year. We ask that you are able to commit a minimum of 10 wrestlers to participate. We will have 5 mats for boys duals and will once again have a 6th mat for females (HS girls only). We may run a 7th mat for girls depending on the number of girls we have participating.

Each team will wrestle in a pod of 4 teams and will remain on the same mat during the entirety of the event. Each team will wrestle 3 matches. Each round will have a set time limit of 1 hour and you will wrestle as many individual matches as possible during that time period.

There will be no weigh ins. Please get weights on Friday and match up with the opposing team within one weight class. Skin and nail checks will be conducted prior to your first match of the day. Head gear is required. Mouth guards are required if the wrestler has braces.

The cost of the event is $100 payable to River Bluff High School to cover costs for custodians, trainers and security.

Admission fee will be $5 per adult. Students and children are free. Concessions will be provided. There will also be a hospitality room for coaches that will provide lunch.

Please let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to seeing you all on the mat this season!

Please email me at coachsh@bellsouth.net or text me at 803-331-3923 with any questions or for more information.

Regards,
Scott Harmon
