Specifically the SCWCA would like to feature some of the chosen wrestlers:
Jordan Wigger - Summerville
Jordan has won 3 state titles heading into this season. He has earned All American status
by finishing 6th at the NHSCA “Junior” nationals last wrestling season. He has also multiple
times earned All American status due to his finishes at the USA Wrestling National Freestyle
and Greco Roman Tournaments held at Fargo, North Dakota. Jordan has access to train at the
Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This prestigious honor is only given
to athletes who are potential Olympians.
T.J. Dudley- Irmo
T.J. has won 2 state titles entering this season. He was also finished 4th in the state as
a freshman. T.J. earned All American status by winning the NHSCA “Junior” nationals wrestling
tournament last wrestling season. He also won the prestigious “Super 32” Pre-season tournament
in October. He is currently ranked in the top 10 wrestlers in the country by many wrestling
publications.
Cortez Starkes- Greenville
Cortez won his first state title last season. Last season he also earned All American status
by finishing 5th at the NHSCA “Junior” nationals wrestling tournament.
All of these wrestlers won their first state titles last season.
They are looking to defend their titles this year at the state tournament.

The format for the event will be that the 4A/1A North Team will wrestle against
the 3A/2A South Team and the 3A/2A North Team will wrestle against the 4A/1A South
Team on Friday March 2nd at 6pm. The losers of each dual will then wrestle for
3rd place and the winners of each dual will wrestle for 1st place at 12 noon on
Saturday March 3rd. All wrestling will take place at North Myrtle Beach High School.
